Do you sometimes wonder if you really are going to heaven? Have you come to a place in your spiritual life where you know for certain that, if you were to die today, that you would go to heaven or would you say that is something you are still working on?
John 1:12 says 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God… How do we know if He has received us? Many people wonder if God’s offer is to them and if He has accepted them. How do you know if you have your salvation?
God tells us that if we receive Him, we have salvation. He knows whether you are sincere or if you are just saying the words. Romans 10:9 says 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. There it is! You will be saved. You cannot fool God about what is in your heart. He knows! The good news is He knows when you are sincere in acceptance and belief. And when you are, you become His child. His love for you is unfailing! His grace and mercy are unlimited! He adores you. Bask in the glow of His love. And while you are feeling that love, figure out how you can share it with those around you!
Father, I thank You that You are faithful to Your promises and it doesn’t depend on me to earn my way to You. You promised that, in Your unfailing love, Your covenant of peace would not be removed. Help us to live in that peace knowing that He who promises is faithful. In your name we pray.
