How Shall We Pray?

Romans 8:26
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.

Sometimes, we face situations that are way beyond anything we have ever faced before. It is the elephant in the room. We are unprepared for it. It looks like our whole world may fall apart. This challenge is so overwhelming that we cannot see anything else. We have many things that need our attention but the elephant is all we can see. We can’t take care of anything else.

What challenge do you face? Is it overwhelming? Does it take up all the staff’s time and attention? And then there are things you can’t say or do. You feel like your hands are tied. You don’t know what to do first or at all. What do you do when you don’t know what to do? Why not ask the One who can solve any challenge?

The Spirit can help us in our weakness. When we don’t know what to do, the Spirit does. Why not turn to the Spirit? When we try to do things in our own power, we come against forces of evil that we cannot overcome. But with God, all things are possible! He can guide us down the correct path. His path! Yes, we face things that are beyond our capability. So it is a good thing we are not going it alone. Pray! Use words or groans or whatever. Think, because God knows your thoughts. He loves you and wants what is best for you. He will protect you. By His Spirit, He will walk you through whatever you face. He is with you!

Father, thank You that You are always with us. We are in trying times. We need You now. Come to us and direct us in Your paths. Give us wisdom. Help us to remain together in You! In Jesus name we pray. Amen!
