I prayed and he still died!

Isaiah 14:12-17 (NKJV) The Fall of Lucifer
12 “How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! 13 For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ 15 Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit. 16 “Those who see you will gaze at you, And consider you, saying: Is this the man who made the earth tremble, Who shook kingdoms, 17 Who made the world as a wilderness And destroyed its cities, Who did not open the house of his prisoners?’

I’ve been accused of praying dangerous prayers. It’s true. I pray for healing for people with stage four cancer and they died anyway. Why is that? Why didn’t God answer my prayers. Am I not righteous enough? He said I was the righteousness of God in Christ. Am I too much of a sinner? Does my friend not deserve to live? What did we do wrong? Why is this happening?

Tonight, I watched a movie that Jean got me for Christmas called Miracles From Heaven. A little girl became seriously ill and her mom lost her faith in the process. People from her Church told her they must have some unrepentant sin that was causing God to judge them and bringing this illness on this little girl. Can you imagine that? God does not punish us with illness. Could there be another source of the trouble?

Joseph Prince spoke about three Cherubim, the highest of all angels. Two of them are Michael and Gabriel and they guard the Mercy Seat in the Holy of Holies. This is the place where the Presence of the Lord exists. Who do you think the third one is? His name was Lucifer, son of the morning. But he, because of his pride, fell from grace. He is no longer in heaven but lives to terrorize this world as Satan. 1 Peter 5:8 (NKJV) says Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Does that make you think? We all walk around patting ourselves on the back when things go well and blaming God when they don’t.

We don’t grow in good times, we grow in adversity. Yes, it is true. God could stop bad things from happening but he loves us too much to prevent our growth. No matter what happens, He will work it out for your good. Our biggest issue is forgetting the source of our troubles; Satan. He has come to steal and to kill and to destroy. Nothing good comes from him. Be sober! Your adversary is on the move looking for whom he may devour. Don’t run from God when bad things happen. Run to Him. He is your refuge. Faith only becomes strong in trials! I pray that you are never tested but when you are, that your faith will stand in the test. In Jesus name I pray for you.
