It’s Me!

Isaiah 30:21 (NKJV)
21 Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,”
Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left.

Famous people have difficult lives. We watched a movie about a famous guy who ran off on his wedding day leaving the bride behind because he did not know how to handle the marriage. He was gone for eight years and finally showed back up in her life. People around these stars (like managers) want to separate them from those who matter because it makes them easier to control. Others may have an agenda which does not have your best interest in mind. Our enemy, the accuser, operates in much the same way. He tries to separate you from those who do have your best interest in mind.

Sometimes, we lose our way. We think we know where to go but get lost along the way. Voices in our head give us wrong advice. Mostly, the voices tell us we aren’t good enough, we lack the talent, we lack the resources. You have to be careful to whom you listen.

Isaiah was a prophet of the Lord Most High. Prophets tell the people what the Lord says. They do not speak their own opinion. Isaiah said, “This is the way, walk in it,” You must know to whom you are listening. Is it the Holy Spirit or is it someone else? It is like an old cartoon with good Goofy on one shoulder and bad Goofy on the other. There are negative voices on your shoulder telling you bad things? You should just go. You will never be good enough for her. She would be better off without you! Stop! Listen carefully! Is there a voice from behind you?

I heard that voice. I was in Honduras. God said, “trust Me!” This voice was audible and I was alone.

It is said you should compare the situation to Scripture. You must know Scripture to do that. Isaiah told us what the Lord wants us to do. He wants us to walk in His way. You will know in your gut which voice is His. Listen carefully. He still speaks. And if you are quiet enough, He will speak to you.

All those who wander are not lost. We take a different path. Sometimes, we wander to draw closer to Him. This is the way, walk in it!

Hello Lord, it’s me. By Your Spirit, guide us in the way we should go. Many voices want to distract us and pull us away from You. Do not let them! Help us to keep You ever in our consciousness and draw us ever closer to You. In Your name we pray.
