May 8 Are You Looking For Jesus?

Revelation 3:20 (NKJV)
20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

Are you looking for Jesus? He is here in my heart. How did He get here? In 1998, I heard Him knock and I opened the door. It is not really complicated you know! Jesus goes on to say that He will come in if we open the door. To where? Actually, your body has been deemed the Temple of the Holy Spirit. Jesus wants to take up residence in your heart. In another translation, the word used is abide. He wants to live with you. He wants to be your companion. He wants to be right there just in case you want to talk.

Many people announce to others that they found God. He was never really lost. In fact, He was out looking for you. Jesus roams this world, by His Holy Spirit, seeking to save the lost. That’s why He came. Are you lost? Do you ever wonder about your purpose? Do you have everything but still feel empty? Blaise Pascal said “There is a God shaped vacuum in the heart of every man which cannot be filled by any created thing, but only by God, the Creator, made known through Jesus.” With that in mind, why try to find satisfaction within ourselves. Jesus is knocking. Open the door! Let him in!

I have had several friends recently ask me how I can remain so calm and do the things I do in a relaxed manner. I point them to the source of my peace. Also, I share with them that the same peace I have is available to them. Jesus stands at the door and knocks. Do you hear Him? Will you answer the door? He is waiting!

Thank you Jesus that You patiently wait for us to answer the door. Some of us are hard of hearing so could you knock a little louder? Some of us are cynical so could you send more testimony? By Your Spirit, call out to those who need You most and draw them to You. Only those You call will hear Your voice. I know You came for all people. Please be patient waiting for all to come to repentance and hear Your voice. In your name we pray!
