Hebrews 13:5b
“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”
6 So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me?”
I used to think I was in control of the situation. Boy was I mistaken. With control comes responsibility. I was very anxious because I felt the pressure of getting everything done by myself and in my own power. It was especially bad around the Holidays. I had to face God again and admit I had not cleaned up the world as if it were possible for me to do. What was I thinking? It was awful for me. Have you ever felt that way? Do you walk around with too large a burden on your shoulders? Are you trying to do things in your own power?
Well we are not doing things on our own when we have faith in Christ. Sometimes, it sure feels that way though. Much has to do with whether we acknowledge God and His blessings in our lives. Our Heavenly Father knows what we need and will provide for us. He has said He will never leave nor forsake us. What does that mean? Have you ever had one of those days of blessing? A day where everything you touched turned to gold and everyone you met was pulling for you. People you don’t even know were holding doors open for you. That is the Favor of God! God wants His favor to rest upon you always. He is right there looking to make your paths straight and your valleys not too low. He is your Helper! You and God are a majority. Are you living in the favor of God? Do you surround yourself with the hedge of His protection? Not sure how?
Be content! Do not fall in love with money. Know that God is your Helper and will provide all you need. He will NOT provide all you want but He will provide for your needs. Also, He has blessings stored up for you in His storehouse. They already have your name on them. The only thing standing between you and those blessings is you. That’s right, you are blocking God’s blessings by worrying, complaining and not listening to His still small voice when deciding how to live your life. Actually, you are living the life He gave you. You are a steward of that life. Why not live it to the glory of God? He will show you how. Go out today with confidence knowing the Lord is your Helper! Go out and love like you’re not scared. Give when it’s not fair. Fight for the weak ones. Fix your eyes on Him

Lord, please go with my friends this day. Help them keep their eyes fixed on you. Help them live life with confidence knowing You go before them and will be their Shield and Protector and never leave nor forsake them. In your name I pray. Amen!
