Psalm 30:5 (NKJV)
5 For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life;
Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.
Our Heavenly Father does get angry with our bad behavior. I think it is more His disappointment. He knows we can do better but many times we take the easy way out. We sin! But He is the God of second chances. Although He is angry now, He will forgive. He will also help us if we ask.
We become afraid in the dark. Things look bad. We don’t see how we can survive this trial. The evil one works under cover of darkness. He reminds you of all your shortcomings. With the dawn, bloom new possibilities. God has a plan to prosper you. If you will let Him, He will bring that plan about. We need to remain in faith and believe God will keep His promises. He is faithful. We worry about the issues we face because we try to control the situation ourselves. What is troubling you today? Will worrying make it any better? Have you done all you can to solve the situation? If so, why not leave the rest to the Lord? Joel Osteen said “Don’t wait to thank God until you see the sunshine, dare to thank Him while it is still dark!”. That is showing faith.
We tend to hang on to things we cannot change as if we can. Learning to let go is an important quality to a happy life. Yes, do the best you can to solve the challenge but know when it is beyond you. Continued anguish will not bring the solution. Give it your best. Work as if unto the Lord. But know when to let go and let God! Weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning.
Lord I want to thank You now for Your blessings that You are sending our way. Thank You that You are working all things out for our good. Healing is coming. Blessing is coming. Promotion is coming. Thank You that Your plan for peace and blessing is on its way! Please give us Your peace while we patiently wait. In Your name we pray!
