2 Corinthians 3:2-3 (NKJV)
2 You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men; 3 clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.

Who are you? Who were you called to be? Do you know? We are all put in this world for a purpose and our job is to figure out that purpose. 2 Corinthians 3 gives us some insight into what that might be. It tells us that we are an epistle read by all men. An epistle is a poem or other literary work in the form of a letter or series of letters. But this epistle is not written on paper. It is written on people’s hearts including yours. This literary work is a love story. It is the love of Christ poured out through His Apostles. Are you an Apostle? Be who God called you to be!
God calls you for a purpose. Ephesians 4:11-12 (NKJV) says 11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, God calls each of us to certain task for the equipping of the saints. So what is your task? Have you done a good job of listening and discerning what you were called to do? We are all called to share the good news. But are we supposed to do that as a full time vocation? Probably, most of us are supposed to do what we are doing with an eye toward God and sharing His love as a part time job. We are always supposed to be prepared to give an answer as to the hope we have in the Lord even as lay people. As the Body of Christ, it is most important that we love God and love those who He loves. Are you sharing the love? What steps could you take to help others draw closer to God? It is our lives that people are reading. What does your life say? Is this the example you want to set to those who watch you? I hope so! If not, ask God to change you today.
Hello Lord! You asked us to come to you with our questions and concerns. Who is it You want us to be? Since we were made in Your image, help us to be more like You. Help us to see things through Your eyes. Help us to love as You love. Please write our stories on the hearts of the people with whom we come in contact that we may leave them better than we found them. Help us to be a blessing to others and glorify you in that process. In Your name we pray!
