Psalm 129 Selected verses (NKJV)
129 “Many a time they have afflicted me from my youth,” Let Israel now say—
2 “Many a time they have afflicted me from my youth; Yet they have not prevailed against me.
“The blessing of the Lord be upon you; We bless you in the name of the Lord!”
David knew there was an enemy against him but he knew God was with him. God’s blessings are always on those who love Him.
There has always been an enemy against you. Long before you came into being, God’s enemy, the devil, had set himself against you. Satan hates anyone who believes in God and will do whatever he can to separate us from God. So is the situation hopeless? Absolutely not! You and God are a majority and will always prevail. The only question is will you stay in faith?
In 2 Corinthians 4, Paul says “7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. 8 We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed…”. How does someone remain optimistic in the center of all these trials? It takes faith in God to stay on the path. We have hope in Him that He will work all things out for our good. Through the trials of the Bible, we see God’s faithfulness to His people. No matter what obstacle they face, God delivers them from harm. There is no reason for despair. We are victors against the enemy by God’s power. God is always with us no matter what. He will be your strength and shield. He is an ever present help in times of trouble. There is nothing to fear for God will uphold you with His righteous right hand! He is with you! Fear not! Walk forward in Faith.
Thank You Father that you have been with us from before our birth. Thank You that You will never leave nor forsake us. With You is victory! Give us courage to stand in Your grace and face the enemy in victory. With You, all things are possible. May Your Holy Spirit remind us of Your protection and love at all times. In Jesus name we pray!
