Philippians 1:19-
19 For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, 20 according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. 21 For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. 22 But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell.
To live is Christ and to die is gain! Our Lord wants us to live before we die! How should we live? A word came to mind that interferes. The word is apprehension. What will people thing? There are many people I know who live in apprehension. Whatever comes their way, they think about what could go wrong. You know people who will first offer reasons why something won’t work. Well what if it does work? The only way you will know is if you try. And if you don’t try, you will never know.
“Many people die with their music still in them. Too often it is because they are always getting ready to live. Before they know it time runs out.” ― Oliver Wendell Holmes Sr. Are you holding back for no apparent reason except fear. Fear is an acronym for false evidence appearing real. If you are apprehensive, you will never reach your destiny. God has a plan for you that involves you doing great things. What is your music? What song can you sing? What has your Heavenly Father planned for you? Know it will be great.
Father, thank You that You have great plans for us. Teach us to trust You and take some chances. We can’t be magnificent if we are always holding back in fear. Your love is perfect and perfect love drives out fear. Help us to live as You would have us live and love as You would have us love. In Jesus name!
