Acts 2:46 Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart,
The Body of Christ is made up of many parts. How do you keep it all together? As the body, we are supposed to take care of one another. The first disciples met daily in the Temple and ate together. They stuck together! When you stay together like this, the division of the enemy has trouble finding its way in to your heart. You strengthen one another. You remind one another to keep up your shield.
In my Church, we are facing some difficult times. Our Pastor has resigned because he is moving to another Church. This creates uncertainty of the future and a lot of work to find another Pastor. Nature hates a vacuum or void. Human nature needs to fill a void. We cannot leave things to chance. How will we handle this time?
Who do you think should guide and fulfill the future? Is it you? Have you always made the best decisions? Looking back, are there no regrets in your life? No “coulda, shoulda woulda”? I cannot say that. I have made bad decisions because I have not sought the guidance of the Lord. At this point, I am no longer willing to buy anything unless I absolutely must have it. Not so in my Spiritual life. I know Who I want and go to Him.
Are we on our own? Is our future hanging in the balance of luck? Not hardly. You are part of God’s family. He has a plan for our lives; a plan to prosper us and not to harm us! So instead of relying on our own intellect, why not look to the Lord? Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV) says 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Let’s trust in Him and allow Him to lead and guide us. His plan is always better.
Father, we thank You that You are always close at hand to guide us. Help us to hear Your voice. Lead us in the way we should go. Bring to us the leader You want for us. In Jesus name we pray.
