Isaiah 41:13 (NKJV)
13 For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’
You are special! If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it. On our refrigerator are a multitude of pictures of things important to us from family and friends. There are wedding invitations. There are cards we received and other things that are important to us in life. What do you think God’s refrigerator would look like? Would He have all the things important to Him? It would be a mighty big refrigerator then because you are important to Him.
Sometimes, I don’t feel as I matter to anyone. I get in those moods where everything seems tough and I feel I am working alone. Do you have those times? Days where everything seems to be more difficult than it should be. Multiple issues come up at what seems the worst possible time. The whole world seems to be against you. It is one of those days. You could become discouraged. But God has another plan.
Remember when you were a kid and things did not go well? If you had a bad day at school, you would come home and tell your parent. You did not even have to tell them; they already knew by your sagging shoulders. What did they do? They sat with you, listened to your story and made you something special to eat. Most likely, they held your hand. Isaiah tells us that God will hold our hand. Our Heavenly Father will not only hold our hand but He will help us! The Creator of the universe will come to your aid! What could be better than that? Is there anything He cannot do? Whatever challenge you face, He has the answer. And He tells you that He will help you! There is no reason to worry. You can do all things through Him who gives you strength. He has already offered the help so asking should be easy. Are you asking Him for help? Do you have conversations with God letting Him know what you face? He will give you what you need to face what He asks you to face. You are never alone. For the Lord your God will hold your right hand and quell all your fears if you let Him. Take His hand and let him!
Father, Your promises are sure and You are faithful. Thank You that You care enough to hold our hand and help us through life’s challenges. We couldn’t do it without You. Help us to realize we never walk alone. Answer us when we call. Help us to call often and to dwell in the center of Your love. In your name we pray. Amen!
