Psalm 139:14 (NIV)
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
If you read through the Bible, you will see, time and time again, how awesome you are. God reveals part of His glory in and through you. You were made in His image and likeness. That means you are like God! Lakewood Church has a mantra which is “This is my Bible. I am what it says I am. I have what it says I have. I can do what it says I can do……” Do you operate under that assumption? Imagine what your life would look like if you did?
In this Psalm, David tells us about ourselves as God sees us. Since we were created by God, we are wonderful. David knows that but do we? He tells us we are fearfully and wonderfully made. Read all of Psalm 139 to find out how wonderful you really are in God’s eyes. And it is his opinion that counts.
Do you celebrate yourself? Do you appreciate all that God has done in you? Are you aware of the gifts and talents He has placed inside you for the benefit of the world? You were designed with excellence and given everything you need to accomplish your destiny. In so doing, you bring glory to God. When you minimize your talents, you are disrespecting the Giver of those talents. Why not approach every situation knowing that the Lord has equipped you and that you will work in His power to accomplish what He set out for you to do?
Praising God for what He has done in your life is key. Thank Him that He has given you what you need. Speak as if He has already accomplished what He set out to do in your life. Declare the victory in advance and victory you will have. You bring about what you think about. Celebrate yourself. God thought enough of you to create you. Get in agreement with Him. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. Be bold and do what He calls you to do. You will be victorious!
Thank You Lord that You have given us victory over the challenges we face. Thank You that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. Thank You that You have given us everything we need to live out the great plan You created for us. Thank You that You go before us preparing the way and making the crooked places straight. Thank You for being our help, our shield and our strength. In Your name we pray! Amen!
